This 14-track album will be arriving on October 7th through Republic Records, and proceeds will go to the AIDS research foundation, amfAR. You get a wide variety of songs that’ll be covered on the collection, with eighties classics like Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)” covered by Marian Hill and The Cure’s “Lovesong” covered by Yuna. Blacc is taking the reins on a rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” and it acts as the compilation’s lead single.

Aloe Blacc ultimately does “Billie Jean” justice here, putting a new spin on it by giving the track a more laid back feel with a heavy blues tone. The amount of soul put into its production will rightfully make you excited to hear what else The Time Is Now will have in store for us, with DNCE’s cover of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and Phantogram’s cover of Phil Collins’ “Take Me Home” being some of the most intriguing cuts.

You can view the full track listing for the compilation on Billboard and learn more about amfAR on its website.
