Chris Pratt Wants To See The Punisher In A Marvel Film

Though we've had several live-action takes on The Punisher, all to varying degrees of success, it wasn't until Jon Bernthal brought him to life in season 2 of Netflix and Marvel's Daredevil series that fans really got the version of the iconic anti-hero that they deserved. Now, with a spinoff show for the character in the works and demand high for him to make appearances elsewhere, people have started to wonder if Frank Castle may one day show up in a film again.

Though we’ve already had several live-action takes on The Punisher, all to varying degrees of success, it wasn’t until Jon Bernthal brought him to life in season 2 of Netflix and Marvel’s Daredevil series that fans really got the version of the iconic anti-hero that they deserved. Now, with a spinoff show for the character in the works and demand high for him to make appearances elsewhere, people have started to wonder if Frank Castle may one day show up in a film again.

Nothing has been mentioned about The Punisher possibly appearing up in an MCU movie just yet, but if Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has his way, we may see it happen sooner rather than later. While speaking to the actor about his new film, The Magnificent Seven, we asked Pratt which Avenger he was most looking forward to fighting with in Avengers: Infinity War. As you can see in the video above, he mentions The Punisher.

Now obviously, The Punisher is not in Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming film, which Pratt acknowledges. But he also smiles and mentions how he’s referring to Star-Lord possibly teaming up with The Punisher in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not specifically in Infinity War. Is this a hint to a possible appearance from Frank Castle in a future Marvel film, or is Pratt just doing some wishful thinking? Honestly, it’s probably the latter, but who knows?

Fan demand is high for characters like Daredevil and The Punisher to one day cross paths with the Avengers and Guardians, and seeing as some of the actors want it to happen as well, it’s only a matter of time before Marvel finds a way to make it happen, right?

Time will tell, of course, but for now, check out Chris Pratt’s comments in the video above and let us know if you think The Punisher will ever appear on the big screen again.
