Zara Larsson Covers Drake And Rihanna’s “Too Good”

It only took a few seconds into Drake’s song, “Too Good,” to realize that it would be a hit. The song off the rapper’s latest album, Views, has an undeniable hook that’s made for mass consumption, and the dancehall vibes throughout it is the reason why it’s a perfect club anthem. Larsson covered the Drake song during her appearance at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, which is known to host artists who put a fresh spin on a cover. It’s no different with the 18 year old Swedish singer/songwriter, who brings a full band along to play it. “Too Good” is a little tough to cover in general, considering part of its brilliance is the fact that it’s a duet between Drake and Rihanna, but Larsson handles it well all on her own. Though her version is slower, it still packs a comparable punch that makes the original so addictive in the first place.

Besides “Too Good,” Larsson also played her single “Ain’t My Fault” during the Live Lounge performance. With each note she sings, Zara Larsson solidifies herself as yet another quality artist hailing from Sweden beginning to make waves in the United States.
