Jay Garrick Returns In First Look Images From The Flash Season 3, Episode 2

The CW has released the first official images from the second episode of The Flash's third season, and by far the biggest reveal in them is the return of Jay Garrick. The CW has released the first official images from the second episode of The Flash‘s third season, and by far the biggest reveal in them is the return of Jay Garrick. After being impersonated by the villainous Zoom last year, the real version was unmasked in the finale before heading off to Earth-2 with Harrison Wells and his daughter.

What bring him back to Earth-1 remains to be seen, but don’t be surprised if it has something to do with the Flashpoint fallout which ensues after Barry Allen raced back in time to save his mother’s life and changed history in the process (that rather selfish decision could also explain why he and Joe seem to be at odds in the gallery above).

Someone else who gets a fair bit of attention here is Tom Felton’s Julian Albert. The first images of the Harry Potter alum in The Flash were revealed yesterday, but we get an even better glimpse of him here and he definitely looks…villainous. Whether or not he will be remains to be seen, but many fans are convinced that he’ll be one of the show’s big bads this year.

For more on what to expect from this episode of The Flash – titled “Paradox” – here’s the official synopsis:

THE AFTERMATH — Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Seeing how the hero’s trip back in time and his later attempt to repair the damage have changed the reality we’ve become used to should be a lot of fun when The Flash returns for season 3 next month.
