Frequently overlooked score attack shooter Bulletstorm is apparently coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC at some point in 2017, the Brazilian Advisory Ratings Board has revealed.
Spotted by the folks at Gematsu, the rating lists the supposed remaster as Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. Strangely, Gearbox Software, who had nothing to do with the original release, is named as the publisher, not EA.
Originally released back in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, Bulletstorm follows a ragtag group of black ops soldiers supposedly delivering justice by assassinating criminals. Discovering their superior is actually a treacherous cretin having innocent civilians killed, you go on the run from your former boss, eventually crash-landing on the inhospitable planet of Stygia.
Flying directly in the face of the monotone greys and browns of contemporary, more serious shooters, Bulletstorm was an unashamedly juvenile FPS; resplendent in color and featuring a skill system that rewarded the player with points relative to how creative your kills were.
Rumors surrounding a Bulletstorm remaster have been circulating ever since assets for the project were handed out during this year’s E3. Original developer People Can Fly were contacted at the time for more details, to which they responded with “we offer no comments to any Bulletstorm remaster questions at this moment,” according to Gematsu.
