In a similar fashion to the Tavern and Weekly Brawls of the developer’s other games, Hearthstone and Overwatch, HotS’s own version promises to offer a wildly different variant each week, with a handful having been detailed by Blizzard as a taster of what’s to come.

  • Hammer Time: Hover tanks for everyone! All players on each team are Sgt. Hammers — with thrusters are permanently engaged! The cores are invulnerable so it’s all about capturing towers to win!
  • Punisher Arena: Rack up points by killing enemy heroes and Punishers. The first team to score 100 points wins!
  • Lost Cavern: A standard map, except there is only one lane. How will you fare when the enemy is in your face at all times?

If random rules aren’t enough of an incentive to make you participate in Heroes Brawl, there’s several pretty alluring perks to doing so. Besides brand new arenas and battlegrounds specific to the mode being introduced, completing three of them a week will earn you up to 1,000 gold and other rewards.

It may not have enjoyed the same level of success as Blizzard’s other extremely popular titles, but it’s good to see that the studio isn’t abandoning Heroes of The Storm just yet. We’re sure the introduction of various characters from other franchises hasn’t hurt, either.
