I’m sure I’m not the only one who had their mind blown by the closing minutes of the season premiere of The Flash, which aired last night. Seriously, how would you feel upon thinking you set the timeline straight only to find out two of the people you love most aren’t on speaking terms and you apparently have an arch-nemesis that you know nothing of? Such is the new life of Barry Allen.
The extended trailer embedded at the top is especially interesting because, unlike last night’s initially released promo, it gives us our first real teaser of the Caitlin Snow we’ve come to know taking her first step toward becoming Killer Frost. Granted, we saw her Earth-2 doppelganger fully embrace this persona, but watching her possibly enter a downward spiral and become one of The Flash’s deadliest enemies should make for some great television.
Now, this even longer trailer really makes us wish we could time jump to next Tuesday because, for one, we see John Wesley Shipp return as Jay Garrick/The Flash to discuss the ramifications of time travel with Barry. Also, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the returns of Earth-2 Harrison Wells and Jesse Quick. Not only that, but it looks as though The Rival also exists in the new timeline and Captain Cold’s death has been undone thanks to “Flashpoint.” Needless to say, Barry may need a moment to wrap his head around these significant changes.

THE AFTERMATH – Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian’s immediate disdain for Barry.
