The CW has released the first official images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and in them we see both the return of Earth-2’s Harrison and Jesse Wells along with the small screen debut of the villainous Magenta. Look closely through the gallery above though and you’ll notice a very interesting – and exciting – reveal.

In the shot of Harrison and his daughter sitting down talking, there’s a box in the background containing something which looks an awful lot like a superhero costume. Now that Jesse has the powers of a speedster (that’s something you can see more of in the promo for the episode), chances are that she’ll be getting a costume of her own to head into action as Jesse Quick.

For more details on what to expect from this episode of The Flash – titled “Magenta” – here’s the official synopsis.

Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Jesse (guest star Violett Beane). Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta, (guest star Joey King) a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & David Kob.

With last night’s instalment of The Flash revealing that Dr. Alchemy is giving the powered individuals from the Flashpoint timeline their old lives back, it will be interesting to see if Magenta is another one of those, especially as Tom Felton’s Julian Albert – an expert in all things metahuman – can also be seen talking to her in these new images.

We’ll just have to wait and see how that plays out, but we’ll find out for sure when this episode of The Flash airs on The CW next Tuesday.
