The CW has released a gallery of images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and in them we get to see a lot of very interesting reveals. The most significant has to be our first look at Jesse Wells suited up as Jesse Quick, a speedster from the comic books who, in the TV show, hails from Earth-2 and is the daughter of Harrison Wells.

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you though; Jesse is indeed wearing a slightly modified version of the costume worn by Trajectory when that villain appeared in The Flash season 2.

The next big reveal is the return of Captain Cold. The fan-favourite villain was killed off in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, so how exactly is he alive and well here? Chances are it has something to do with Barry Allen’s recent trip back in time, as we continue to learn about the changes he inadvertently made to the timeline.

For more on what to expect from this episode of The Flash – titled “The New Rogues” – here’s the official synopsis:

Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.

The overdue debut of Mirror Master promises to be a lot of fun, and while some fans are upset that he’s a metahuman, the villain’s inclusion in The Flash brings us one step closer to The Rogues finally coming together (something the title mentioned above hints at).
