Pariah Looms Large In First Promo For Westworld Episode 5 “Contrapasso”

Still digesting last night’s episode of Westworld? Or are you only now coming to terms with the return of The Walking Dead over on AMC? Either way, HBO continues to dangle the carrot for the former, pumping out the first promo for “Contrapasso,” episode 5 of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Western opus.

In it, we see Dolores, William, and Logan plot course for Pariah, a dusty old town “built on decadence and transgression.” As our trio mingles in with the questionable locals, they come across a dangerous quest, while on the other side of the spectrum, Ed Harris’ Man in Black continues to poke and prod at the mysterious maze that seems to be buried deep within the bowels of Westworld itself. Is this the week when we finally get to learn more about that labyrinth? Or will HBO’s genre mash-up have us dreaming up wild and wonderful theories for weeks to come? We’ll find out soon enough.

Here’s the official logline for Westworld‘s fifth episode: “Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), William (Jimmi Simpson) and Logan (Ben Barnes) reach Pariah, a town built on decadence and transgression — and are recruited for a dangerous mission. The Man in Black (Ed Harris) meets an unlikely ally in his search to unlock the maze.”
