Check Out This “Monster” Of An Extended Promo For The Flash

If last night's episode of The Flash reaffirmed anything, it's that critical new elements can be introduced on any given week. Not only did Caitlin Snow take another generous stride toward becoming Killer Frost, but Tom Cavanagh continued to flex his acting muscles by playing more alternate versions of Harrison Wells.

On that note, it should be most interesting to see how Earth-19 Harrison Wells, AKA H.R., interacts with the team going forward. Despite his bubbly personality, the trailer hints at him being a wolf in sheep’s clothing, perhaps suggesting he has more in common with the man we saw in the first season as opposed to Earth-2 Harry that was introduced in the second. Whether or not he’s here for an extended stay remains to be seen, but I must admit that I got attached to Harry and I’m probably not the only one saying that.

Something else to keep an eye on – and it will certainly be hard not to – is the Kaiju-sized beast threatening Central City. It’s highly reminiscent of the horror witnessed in the Night of the Monster Men crossover that recently spanned various Batman comics and will no doubt drive up insurance rates for the locals.

For more juicy details, check out the official synopsis below:

Desperate to understand what is happening to her, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) visits her mother, Dr. Tannhauser (guest star Susan Walters), a renowned biomedical researcher, in the hopes that her mother can provide some answers about Caitlin’s growing meta-human powers. However, when Dr. Tannhauser treats her daughter like a test subject, Caitlin grows cold and brings up past wounds causing the two to have a major blowout. Meanwhile, after a mysterious new meta-human attacks Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) tries to convince Julian (Tom Felton) to let him assist on the case. Kim Miles directed the episode written by Zack Stentz.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
