The approach of October’s end means the celebration of Halloween is nearly upon us for much of the western world, but to the experienced trap connoisseur, it signals the impending release of RL Grime‘s annual mix in celebration of the haunted holiday. Starting in 2012, the “Aurora” producer has crafted a spectacular mix each year to serve as the perfect soundtrack for a night of spooky vibes and costumed ravers, and now he’s gearing up for his fifth entry in honor of All Hallow’s eve.
RL Grime dropped a video on social media earlier today in anticipation of the Halloween 5 mix, delivering a trailer for the upcoming playlist. The video features stark shots with a horror vibe to them, while teasing the date of this Friday, October 28th, meaning that the new mix will arrive before the week is over. As Halloween falls on a Monday this year, the timing is perfect, as many parties will be going on over the weekend.
