First Look Promo For Arrow Season 5, Episode 5 “Human Target”

Tonight's episode of Arrow revolved around Oliver Queen's quest to break Diggle out of military prison, but things look set to become even more intense in next week's instalment as the Emerald Archer finds himself under fire in his day job as mayor after a tortured Wild Dog reveals his secret identity to the villainous Tobias Church. He's been warned by the mysterious Prometheus to leave the Green Arrow alive, but it looks like taking out the mayor is going to be his way of getting around that.

Who the hitman in the video above is isn’t immediately clear, but it could be the Human Target. The DC Comics character actually starred in his own series a number of years ago (before superhero TV shows took off), but it didn’t last too long. In Arrow, we’ll be seeing a different version played by Jessica Jones‘ Wil Traval.

For more on what to expect from this episode of Arrow, here’s the synopsis:

When Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman) captures and tortures one of Oliver’s new recruits, Oliver must turn to an old friend, Christopher Chance (guest star Wil Traval) AKA the Human Target, for help. Meanwhile, Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) worlds collide when Detective Malone (guest star Tyler Ritter) joins the ACU. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Sarah Tarkoff.

Season 5 of Arrow has so far been vastly superior to the last couple of years, and the addition of Human Target is definitely exciting. Chances are this will be a one off appearance rather than an attempt to give the character his own show again, but you never know.
