After Swedish House Mafia officially called it quits in 2013, the rumors of a possible reunion between dance music’s biggest trio started up pretty much immediately. Ever since then, we’ve seen plenty of speculation passed around by fans, with rumors running rampant this year of a possible 2017 reunion tour. While this kind of thing rarely pans out, a now deleted tweet from Axwell himself seems to hint that fans may finally get what they’ve been hoping for.

Axwell took to Twitter yesterday with a monumental teaser about a possible SHM reunion, stating “The countdown to a new era has begun. Never too late to get back on track.” Accompanying the message is the date of March 26, 2017 and an updated Axwell /\ Ingrosso logo with an additional “A” added to it.

As far as the date of March 26 2017, it should be noted that this corresponds with the final date of Ultra Music Festival, the very event that served as Swedish House Mafia‘s final performance in 2013. When it comes to the logo, there has been some speculation that Alesso may be involved, as sources close to the group paint the possibility of Steve Angello participating in the reunion as unlikely.

It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out exactly what Axwell was hinting at with his now deleted Tweet, but it’s safe to say that fans can start freaking out.
