The Death Star schematics are, without question, one of the major plot points driving Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and have allowed director Gareth Edwards to steer Disney’s prized juggernaut into largely uncharted territory – that is, engineering a Star Wars film that touts genre conventions more associated with spy and heist movies.

Whether that proves to be a successful exercise in risk-taking will be told on December 16, but until then, those all-important blueprints have reared their head once more, and this time they’re plastered across the official IMAX standee for Rogue One.

Unless you’re fluent in Aurebesh, most of the hieroglyphics will appear fairly alien, but thankfully, ComicBook.com has translated some of the messages hidden in the photo above, which appears to be masking some Imperial propaganda. That’s not all too surprising, and franchise creator George Lucas has long cited Nazism as a jumping-off point for the galactic menace.

You can find some of the translated extracts down below.

“BEAT BACK THE REBELS”
“JOIN THE EMPIRE”
“SUBMIT TO OUR WILL”
“ALL POWER TO THE EMPIRE”
“CRUSH THE REBELLION IN ONE SWIFT STROKE”
“THIS STATION IS THE ULTIMATE POWER IN THE UNIVERSE”
“THERE WILL BE NO ONE TO STOP US THIS TIME.”
“BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE.”

The galaxy’s greatest heist is almost upon us – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story makes a beeline for theaters on December 16 and will reportedly run for just over two hours in length, much like The Force Awakens before it. Could we catch a glimpse of the first Episode VIII teaser? Who knows. But in the meantime, you can find our own fan-made trailer right here.
