Kara Prepares For Battle In New Supergirl Images

Judging from the above gallery, Supergirl won’t be resting on its laurels anytime soon and will continue to make its mark on a prime time lineup that’s already crowded by superheroes. Sure, it all starts with the script, but these new images really speak to the effort put forth by those involved in costuming, makeup, and production design.

An element included in this particular episode that has people talking is that of the alien fight club run by Roulette, who has an affinity for red dresses that rivals even Resident Evil’s Ada Wong. At face value, it seems that she has less in common with her Smallville counterpart and shares more similarities with the Roulette we saw on Justice League Unlimited. No matter how it turns out, kudos go to the producers for including such a diverse array of DC characters.

Unfortunately, we aren’t offered another look at the recently debuted Miss Martian, but Young Justice devotees can take solace in knowing that she will likely factor heavily into this episode. It should be interesting to see if the producers stay true to the source material and reveal her to be a White Martian and how J’onn J’onzz will react to such a revelation.

While trying to stop the fighting, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter find themselves up against a surprising opponent. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) is thrilled to have found another Martian and tries to get to know M’Gann (guest star Sharon Leal) better.
