If, like many others, you’ve grown tired of Pokemon Go‘s lack of new content since launch and given the app a rest, Niantic’s got something up its sleeve to try and coax you back into becoming an active Trainer.

As part of an upcoming update to the AR title, the developer will be introducing a Daily Bonus system that rewards players for completing various activities on a regular basis. For instance, your first visit to a Pokestop or Pokemon capture of the day will confer various bonuses, including extra Stardust and experience. Doing both for a week straight will award an additional bonus.

See below for the full details:

Daily Bonus Activities

First Pokemon capture each day:

  • 500 XP
  • 600 Stardust

First Pokestop visit each day:

  • 500 XP
  • A number of additional items

Weekly Bonus Activities

Catch a Pokemon every day for seven days:

  • 2,000 XP
  • 2,400 Stardust

Visit a Pokestop every day for seven days:

  • 2,000 XP
  • A greater number of additional items

While it’s reassuring to see Niantic’s continued support of Pokemon Go with tweaks and changes, offering benefits for frequent logins can only go so far; it’s in desperate need of new features that offer new ways to play. Sitting high on that list of wants will undoubtedly be some form of trading system, a key pillar of the main series games that has been noticeably absent from Pokemon Go ever since day one.
