Another year, another Call of Duty. This time around, in accordance with Activision’s three-tier development cycle, it is Infinity Ward that takes point at the helm for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, a new sub-brand within the juggernaut franchise that takes the blistering action into the far-future.
Don’t let the sci-fi tenets fool you, though; Infinite Warfare is very much steeped in the Call of Duty DNA. Not only does the single-player campaign feature A-list talent – Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and even UFC champ Conor McGregor star – but the multiplayer component is as rich and varied as ever. Toss in the addition of the retro-futuristic Zombies in Spaceland mode and you have all the necessary hallmarks for a bankable hit.
