It may have been over thirty years since his appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, but Warwick Davis has remained a constant presence in the franchise ever since. He’s made a number of cameos in everything from The Phantom Menace to The Force Awakens, and next up for him is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The TV spot above was released a few days ago, but take another look around the 0:13 mark and you’ll notice a creature who Davis has now confirmed is indeed him in costume. He also noted that this is the first time he’s played a character with a blaster, so the British actor is clearly going to get to see at least some action in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Davis hasn’t disclosed any further details about the character, but it seems like he’s a Rebel fighter who has stepped up to help take on the growing threat of the Empire. We’ll no doubt find out a little more when the various companion books are released next month to coincide with the film itself, which will finally be with us on December 16th, 2016.
