Get An Early Preview Of Westworld Episode 8 With First Photos For “Trace Decay”

If HBO’s Westworld has been guilty of spinning its wheels in recent weeks, last Sunday’s episode, “Trompe L’Oeil,” had viewers rooted to the edge of their seats after delivering what is perhaps the show’s most shocking revelation yet.

Such was the magnitude of said twist that fans are not only speculating on how it impacts the future of Westworld going forward, but they’re also beginning to question everything they’ve laid eyes on so far. The show must go on though, quite literally, and Sunday will herald the premiere of episode 8, “Trace Decay.” It goes without saying, but unless you’re fully up to speed with Westworld, avoid the promo below like the plague.

Having debuted in the aftermath of “Trompe L’Oeil,” HBO has now pumped out a series of still images for episode 8, showcasing Bernard, the cunning Robert Ford and DELOS Executive Director Charlotte Hale, who has fast become one of the show’s most unbearable power players. Up on ground level, Thandie Newton’s Maeve continues to poke and prod at her artificial enclosure, hoping to one day escape Westworld altogether and avoid the fate that befell her close friend, Clementine.

Here’s the official logline: “After witnessing Clementine (Angela Sarafyan) get taken away and lobotomized, Maeve looks to change her script and take control of her life. We’ll also head back to the Man in Black’s (Ed Harris) storyline and see how his companion Teddy (James Marsden) gets jarred by dark memories.”

This particular installment of Westworld is directed by Stephen Williams and written by Charles Yu and Lisa Joy. “Trace Decay” airs Sunday, November 20 via HBO.
