Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Clip Finds Felicity Jones In Need Of Trust

The short slice of footage centers around Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) in a point of contention when Andor discovers Erso has a gun. On the ship with nervous droid K-2SO (voiced by Alan Tudyk), Andor and Erso finds themselves forced to trust one another, which highlights the tense relationship they’ll likely share in the new film.

Perhaps the best part of this clip is getting to spend more screen time with Tudyk’s new robot, whom he describes as “candid, passive-aggressive” and “childish at times,” all of which are on display here. Don’t be mistaken, however. K-2SO is not C-3PO, according to the actor.

When asked if his metal character and the gold prissy droid would get along, Tudyk said “[K-2SO] is 7-feet tall. He’d probably just push C-3PO over.” With the extended universe allowing for a variety of possibilities, however, it’s not impossible to see these two robots hash it out in the near future, assuming K-2SO doesn’t die in this new prequel, of course.

While they’re not featured in the above clip, Rogue One also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Jihang Wen, Riz Ahmed and an appearance by a certain darkly-cloaked lord of the Sith. I imagine you can figure out who that might be.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16th. Tickets are currently on sale and if you haven’t got them already, you can head over to Fandango and reserve some now. If last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens was any indiction, they’re not going to be easy to find.
