With less than 2 weeks to go now until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres, the film is generating an enormous amount of buzz, finding itself as the talk of the town thanks to Disney’s aggressive marketing campaign.

It’s been a relentless assault on our senses these past few weeks, as the studio has been throwing new promos, clips, photosposters and trailers at us every single day. But even with the staggering amount of footage we’ve seen from the upcoming Anthology film, we’re still left with one, important question: will it be any good?

Back in the summer, some pretty nasty rumors popped up pertaining to the reshoots that went down, with reports coming in that pointed to director Gareth Edwards being completely removed from set and Tony Gilroy taking his place. The cast and crew argued these reshoots were always planned, but the internet said otherwise. As such, it’s always been with a bit of skepticism that we’ve approached Rogue One.

Well, now it seems like that can all be put to rest, as the first reactions are in and they’re incredibly positive. People are praising the action and refreshing tone, while some are even saying that it’s the third best Star Wars film to date. Granted, these aren’t full reviews, as it seems that only the first half hour or so was shown off to select members of the press – but still, it’s definitely encouraging to hear this type of stuff after all the negativity that surrounded Disney’s flick during the summer.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blasts into theatres on December 16th. Until then, have a look at the reactions below and let us know how you’re feeling about the film at this stage by dropping a comment in the usual place.
