With production currently underway for one of the biggest films of at least the past decade, it seems that not a day goes by anymore where we don’t receive news on The Dark Knight Rises. Yesterday, we posted some set photos and today we have new plot details for you.
The film will be shooting at Carnegie Mellon University in a few weeks and the school has described the type of scenes that will be filmed there. According to them, it will be some kind of prison break as well as a riot.
“The building will be portrayed as a prison. The scene will include “an explosion, a prison break, precision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke, and controlled pyrotechnic explosions.”
At the Mellon Institute, the school site’s described it as “a standoff between two rivals that escalates into a riot. One character drives a motorcycle through the fourth floor lobby, out the front doors and down the steps onto Fifth Avenue. Special effects include precision stunt driving, gunfire and atmospheric smoke.”
Like usual, this piece of Dark Knight Rises news doesn’t tell us a whole lot but we now know that there will be a prison break of some kind, perhaps involving Bane? Percision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke and controlled pyrotechnic explosions are all staples of the franchise so that’s nothing new but the “standoff between two rivals” has me interested. Which two rivals? Batman and someone else I’m assuming?
Whatever the case may be, it doesn’t look like Nolan is holding back on the action for this one. Just from the description given above you can tell that we’re going to be in for one heck of an exciting film and one that will likely be on part with The Dark Knight, at least in terms of action and thrills.
