Peter Parker Springs Into Action In First Official Footage From Spider-Man: Homecoming

Watch Tom Holland's Web-Head spring into action in the first official footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The full trailer is due online tomorrow.

It’s been a long time coming, hasn’t it? Ahead of tomorrow’s trailer premiere on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Marvel has today unveiled the first official footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

In it, we not only get a glimpse of Tom Holland’s titular hero leaping into action – aided by a nifty gadget gifted to him by Tony Stark himself – but the teaser above also heralds the return of Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Upon testing out his newfound web wings, Holland’s Peter Parker gushes, “this is the coolest thing I’ver ever seen!” We’re inclined to agree with him.

As for Tom Holland himself, well, the actor simply oozes charisma in the title role of Spidey. Having won over the moviegoing masses with his debut in Captain America: Civil War, the all-too-brief teaser above is another pointed reminder of Holland’s skittish, yet endearing energy.

Pitting Tom Holland’s web-head against The Vulture – along with a handful of other iconic villains, if early reports are to be believed – Spider-Man: Homecoming very much signals a new chapter for Marvel’s beloved character, who will soon re-team with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. Long before that titanic tussle though, Holland will be rubbing shoulders with Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover and many, many more when Homecoming swings into theaters.

Stay tuned to We Got This Covered tomorrow, December 8, when we’ll be bringing you full coverage of the teaser trailer the moment it drops on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In the meantime, tell us, what are your knee-jerk impressions upon seeing the first official footage? Indeed, are you excited for the Jon Watts-directed standalone movie? Do let us know.

Expect Spider-Man: Homecoming to release on July 7, 2017.
