It was yesterday that we learned David Ayer will direct Gotham City Sirens, a Suicide Squad spinoff which will see Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn take centre stage alongside a group of female villains. Based on the comic book series of the same name, chances are that she’ll be joined by Catwoman and Poison Ivy, and we now may know who’s playing the latter.

According to a new report, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star Megan Fox may very well be up for the role of the Batman villain, though the evidence indicating this is pretty sketchy. Bleeding Cool claims that Fox has ordered copies of Harley Quinn #14, #17 and #38 to her Warner Bros. Studios address, and those comic books all explore Ivy’s relationship with Harley. In recent years, the two characters have embarked on a romantic relationship, but these particular issues mostly delve into their initial encounters.

Again, the evidence here that the actress is being eyed for the role is pretty thin, but the site claims to have seen these orders themselves. Fox certainly has the right look for Ivy, but it’s debatable whether or not she has the acting chops to match. Either way, it’s easy to imagine moviegoers flocking to theatres to see her as the scantily clad supervillain and we can definitely see the appeal of casting her from a marketing perspective.

Tell us, do you think Megan Fox is a good choice to play Ivy in the upcoming Suicide Squad spinoff, or do you have someone else in mind for the role? Drop a comment down below and let us know!
