Developer TimeGate Studios has announced its plans to release a bunch of new content for the recently released first-person shooter, Section 8: Prejudice. This planned content not only includes an affordable new map pack, but will also include a free new mode. Needless to say, this is great news for those who love this well-made downloadable title.

The Frontier Colonies Map Pack will drop onto the XBOX 360 and PC on July 13, for the low price of 320 Microsoft Points. It is slated to bring two new maps to the party, including Desolation (a desert map containing ruins of an ancient civilization,) and Overseer, which has players shooting their way through military facilities in what is described as a “habitable forest valley.” Both sound quite interesting and will be available for use in all game modes.

Those new maps will also support the new Skirmish mode, which is set to become available later this summer, for the beautiful price of free. Skirmish plays a lot like a team death match mode though victory points will be earned for completing missions as you kill. It’s also been confirmed that the objective-based control points will be eliminated in this mode, so players will have to adjust as necessary.

A release date for the new maps has yet to be revealed for those who bought the PlayStation 3 version of the game. However, TimeGate has promised to give us more info on that soon.
