In a surprising turn of events, Josh Young of Flosstradamus has announced that he’s decided to depart from the trap outfit in order to focus on his solo efforts. Taking to Instagram, the producer and DJ revealed that while grateful for the opportunities afforded to him as one half of Flosstradamus, he intends to focus on his solo music as Me2.

The Me2 moniker was announced by Josh earlier in the summer, though at the time it was simply thought to be a side project. The DJ reveals that he came to the decision to leave Flosstradamus earlier in the summer, but waited until their tour was wrapped up to make the announcement. He also made it clear that there were no hard feelings between him and remaining member Curt Cameruci.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MEMORIES ⚠️✌?️

Following Josh’s announcement, a number of sources began reporting that the Flosstradamus project had been shelved entirely. Curt took to Facebook to dispel this notion, stating that the project will continue to live on and that he will continue to “carry the torch” on his own.

While fans will no doubt be heartbroken by the news, we wish Josh the best of luck on his future endeavors.
