“Scared To Be Lonely” follows in a similar vein as “In The Name Of Love,” pairing up poppy female vocals with a lush future bass backdrop. The video clip runs for a little over a minute and a half, giving us a decent teaser of the forthcoming song, kicking off with a stripped back vocal verse. From there, Garrix takes the track into the drop, with sublime synth chords layered over crashing, halftime rhythms.

Garrix’s collaboration with Bebe Rexha arrived as a welcome evolution of the Dutch producer’s sound when it was released last summer, and we’re glad to hear him exploring that sonic territory a bit more. It’s anyone’s guess as to when the official version of “Scared To Be Lonely” will surface, but it’s good to know we have some strong music to look forward to from Martin Garrix in 2017.
