Marking her fifth appearance in the starring role, Blood Wars brings about the return of Kate Beckinsale’s gun-toting vampire warrior. After fending off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan, led by a new, more powerful leader named Marius (Tobias Menzies), and the Vampire faction that betrayed her, Selene’s left to rely on her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance). Together, they must stop the raging war between Lycans and Vampires before it destroys them all.

Our full review of the film will be up later this week, but for now, we can tell you that it’s another action packed ride that’s easy on the eyes and not too taxing on the brain, delivering up some great set pieces and a ton of thrills. If you’re a fan of what’s come before, then you’ll no doubt be pleased with this outing.

At the recent press day for Underworld: Blood Wars, we sat down with James for an exclusive interview to talk about returning to the franchise, how he thinks David unwinds, where vampires get all their money from, the future of the Divergent series and more. Hear what the actor had to say to us in the video above and be sure to catch Underworld: Blood Wars when it shoots its way into theaters this Friday!
