Offering a good look at the game’s stunning and stylistic world, January’s IGN First Look does a nice job of piquing one’s interest. Not only is it beautiful-looking, but it also adeptly advertises what seems to be a very magical, mysterious and immersive experience. One that tasks its players with exploring an island and progressing through its challenges by manipulating light, shadow, perspective and time.

Described as ‘a single-player puzzle adventure about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast,’ RiME is inspired by the Mediterranean. As such, it promises vibrant colours and a very stylized world, which will be evident to anyone who watches this trailer.

Expect to be able to play RiME on your Xbox One, PS4, PC or Nintendo Switch come May.
