Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide‘s first DLC expansion – Karak Azgaraz – makes its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 28, developer Fatshark has announced. Previously released at the tail end of last year on Steam, it appears as if the new content has gone down well with PC audiences, with overall user reviews indicating a generally ‘Very Positive’ reception based on 55 reviews. Whisking players away from the usual grotty streets and sewers of Ubersreik, Karak Azgaraz sees the return of the Skaven threat, and it’s your job to put the oversized rodents down before they reach the peak.

Three new maps, including the outlying settlement of Khazid Kro and the Grey Mountains themselves, are included in the add-on, with the action coming to a close in the Chain of Fire, where you’ll be required to light the beacon at the mountain’s summit. With new threats come new tools to deal with them – the Warpick and Falchion weapons for the Dwarf Ranger and Witch Hunter classes, respectively, will be possible rewards for those brave enough to embrace the biting cold, but you will, of course, be at the mercy of Vermintide‘s random loot system. Dice found throughout each campaign will be tallied and rolled once your main objective has been completed, determining what – if any – high-end rewards you receive.

Assuming it follows suit with the PC release, you can pick up Vermintide‘s Karak Azgaraz DLC on consoles for $8.99 when it launches next month. For an idea of the chilly (and rat-infested) reception that awaits you in the ice-encrusted expansion, see the original trailer below.
