Ubisoft Bringing Steep, Just Dance 2017 And Rayman Legends To Nintendo Switch

Off the back of last night’s presentation, Ubisoft has detailed its preliminary third-party support for the Nintendo Switch.

Favoring old over new, the mega-publisher confirmed extreme sports title Steep, Rayman Legends: Definitive Version and Just Dance 2017 for Nintendo’s console/handheld hybrid, with the latter set to launch alongside the Switch on March 3. Included in that port is three months free access to Just Dance Unlimited, an online service that opens up a library of over 200 songs. What’s more, up to six players will be able to partake in Just Dance 2017 on the Switch, either through the system’s Joy-Con controllers or the Just Dance app on a compatible smartphone.

Meanwhile, the Definitive Version of Rayman Legends will come packing “brand new surprises,” though it’s unclear what Ubisoft has planned for the game’s Switch version. Similarly to Steep, it’s also without an official release date, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on the hardware’s software lineup over the coming weeks and months. In closing, Ubisoft’s Managing Editor Xavier Poix teased that that aforementioned trio is a sign of things to come, stating, “these three games are just the beginning. We will share more about other exciting projects for the Nintendo Switch at a later date.” Contrary to previous rumors, Michel Ancel’s Beyond Good & Evil 2 was nowhere to be found.

Tethered with an asking price of $299.99, Nintendo Switch will touch down across the globe on March 3, 2017. A Preview Tour will allow a select handful of players to go hands-on with the system prior to release – New York City, Toronto, Chicago and San Francisco are just some of the cities lining the docket – though many are currently perched on the fence following the Big N’s most recent showcase.
