Hot off the heels of yesterday’s trailer drop for Injustice 2, NetherRealm Studios has detailed two special editions for the superhero beat ’em up to be released alongside standard editions in May.

Available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the limited-run bundles come in Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, clocking in at $79.99 and $99.99, respectively. So, what’s inside, you ask? Special costumes, DLC characters and a generous helping of Shader Packs form most of the meat, although you can check out everything they have to offer below.

DIGITAL DELUXE EDITION

  • Digital copy of the game
  • 3 DLC fighters
  • Premier Skin: Supergirl becomes Power Girl
  • Defender Shader pack

ULTIMATE EDITION

  • Physical or Digital copy of the game
  • 9 DLC fighters
  • 3 Premier Skins: Supergirl, Green Lantern, and Flash transform into alternate characters
  • Defender and Destroyer shader packs

For the unaware, the so-called Premier Skins included in both editions not only drastically change a character’s appearance (Supergirl becomes Power Girl, for example) but their voice and dialogue, too, a practice that has become commonplace in various genres – especially MOBAs – in order to provide that extra layer of customization. As for Shaders, think of them as the usual palette swap options provided as standard in other brawlers.

Injustice 2 is set to directly follow the bleak conclusion of the original and the subsequent fallout of Superman’s rampage that distinguished between neither friend or foe. If you missed the visual tour de force that was yesterday’s trailer – which confirmed the inclusion of big bad Darkseid – check it out above.
