When Peter Dinklage joined Avengers: Infinity War in a mysterious role, speculation — as it always does on the Internet — ran rampant. Multiple characters were thrown into the mix, but based on some new paparazzi photos, Dinklage’s new hairdo might’ve given away his identity.

Though this is largely speculative at this point — because goodness knows Marvel isn’t going to let anyone know the truth yet, unless they’ve sworn their life and first-born child away — Dinklage’s new ginger red hairdo is very similar to the one Pip the Troll sports in the comics. Does that mean that’s who he’ll be playing? Not necessarily, but we wouldn’t be surprised.

Truth be told, at this point, we’re really not too concerned with who the actor’s been cast as – we’re just happy to see him in the film. While he has been involved with superhero movies before (X-Men: Days of Future Past), he was somewhat wasted in his role. As such, we’re hopeful that Marvel makes better use of him here, though something tells us that they will.

With the film entering production this month, expect more behind the scenes shots to emerge from Avengers: Infinity War very soon. It’ll be in production for a good, long while, too, so we should be getting lots of goodies over the next few months. After all, there are a lot of things to shoot here and directors Joe and Anthony Russo have quite the undertaking on their hands. Godspeed, gentlemen. You’re gonna need it.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Check out Dinklage’s new haircut below, courtesy of The Daily Mail, and let us know who you think he’s been cast as.
