Diggle Has A Plan In This Tense New Clip From Arrow’s Midseason Premiere

The midseason finale of Arrow ended on not just one, but a series of cliffhangers. One of them was the arrest of Diggle as his time on the run came to an abrupt end, but it appears as if he's made his peace with being behind bars...for now. As you can see in the clip above, Oliver's best friend has a plan to clear his name and bring down the corrupt soldiers who framed him.

He’ll no doubt ultimately end up succeeding, but for now, his imprisonment means he can’t lend Team Arrow a hand and that’s going to be a big problem. After all, Artemis recently betrayed her friends to join up with Prometheus, while the returning Laurel Lance isn’t actually the Black Canary who died during season 4.

For more on what to expect from the midseason premiere of Arrow – titled “Who Are You?” – here’s the official synopsis courtesy of The CW:

OLIVER WANTS JUSTICE; FELICITY WANTS REVENGE — Worried that Prometheus is right and he is truly a killer at heart, Oliver (Stephen Amell) looks for any ray of hope and finds it in what seems to be the miraculous return of Laurel Lance (guest star Katie Cassidy). However, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), still reeling from Detective Malone’s murder, is bent on revenge – she wants to stop Prometheus at any cost. While in prison, Diggle (David Ramsey) fights for his life. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.

The clip above also teases Oliver’s attempts to track down Talia al Ghul, the League of Assassins member who trained both him and Prometheus. Oh, and while the mention of a lawyer may make you immediately think of Daredevil, chances are the hero is referring to District Attorney Adrian Chase, a character who should soon be revealed as Vigilante.

Arrow returns to next Wednesday, so here’s hoping many of these unresolved plot threads are indeed addressed here.
