Don’t Expect A New Look At Wonder Woman Or Justice League During This Year’s Super Bowl

If you're a movie fan but have no interest in sports, the Super Bowl is still extremely exciting (and if you like both, what a weekend). That's because movie studios often use the annual event to showcase their newest releases, but in recent years, a couple have decided against spending millions of dollars on thirty-second commercials. And honestly, can you really blame them?

Sure, it’s a good way to promote an upcoming film, but these days, it’s just as easy to do so on social media. That probably explains why a new report points to Warner Bros. sitting out the big game this year, which means we can forget about getting a new look at either Justice League or Wonder Woman.

It’s not all bad news, though, as Disney looks set to show off at least two of their upcoming movies, with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales named as the most likely possibilities. Sony has booked a spot for the pre-show, too, which means we could get a new look at Spider-Man: Homecoming. Although, with the last trailer dropping in December, it seems unlikely that they’d have another one ready so soon.

Paramount Pictures, meanwhile, has something planned for Baywatch and possibly Transformers: The Last Knight, while Universal will probably push The Fate of The Furious. Finally, Fox has big plans for A Cure For Wellness, and that’s set to be joined either by Logan or Alien: Covenant.

Suffice to say, there’s a hell of a lot for movie fans to look forward to here. Nothing for Justice League does seem like a real shame, but with reports pointing to the next trailer for Snyder’s film arriving in the spring, we won’t have to wait too much longer now before we get another look at it.
