Dust off those cowls and patch those capes, Batman fans, it looks like the Caped Crusader could well be gearing up for another adventure in the not-too-distant future. As per GameTyrant, a new image tweeted by IGN France adorned with the Warner Bros. Games logo simply says “Save The Date,” followed by 8 March 2017. Cue the endless speculation as to what in the world such an announcement could be.

Now, nothing in the post directly references DC’s Dark Knight, but considering the wording, colors and state of decay in which the Warner Bros. logo is presented, our hearts and minds both immediately jump to such a conclusion, not least because of the marketing campaign the publisher used for 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins.

The save the date slogan is the exact same as that used for the prequel to Rocksteady’s Arkham games, perhaps suggesting that we’re headed back to Bruce Wayne’s past once more? It’s unlikely a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight would be in the works, considering how it concluded.

Speaking of Rocksteady, the developer has indicated numerous times in the past that it wanted to move on to new projects following the release of Arkham Knight, so if we truly are looking at a potential new entry in the Arkham series, seeing Rocksteady’s name adorn the box would be rather surprising.

Sadly, there’s not much else to go on besides the above, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Warner Bros. has planned for March 8. In the meantime, let us know in the comments below if you think another Arkham title is a good idea, or if the series should have been left to rest for a while, following Arkham Knight‘s release.
