It’s been a busy few days in the Marvel camp – when is it not? – after we caught wind of Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph landing the title roles in the upcoming Cloak and Dagger TV series earlier this week.

Switching gears from Freeform to Hulu and we now have confirmation that Runaways, the adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona’s award-winning comic series, has filled out its preliminary cast. Chronicling the remarkable story of six teenagers who rebel against their morally corrupt parents, Hulu’s serialized rendition will feature the same team of adolescent heroes seen in the 2003 series: Alex Wilder, Nico Minoru, Karolina Dean, Gertrude Yorkes (AKA Gert), Chase Stein, and Molly Hayes, who has been renamed Molly Hernandez.

Marvel has cherry-picked half a dozen rising stars to headline the new superhero series, which is expected to air via Hulu’s streaming service. Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will foster the development of Runaways, and you can find a detailed breakdown of each new recruit and their respective character, below.

Rhenzy Feliz (Casual) is Alex Wilder, a loud-and-proud nerd. Admittedly a bit of a loner, Alex spends much of his free time playing video games, but deep down, what he wants most is to reunite his group of childhood friends

Lyrica Okano (The Affair, Unforgettable) plays Nico Minoru, who is tough, intelligent, independent and embodies teenage angst. A budding “Wiccan,” Nico’s carefully crafted goth appearance isolates her from her peers and family, but maybe what she really needs is someone to talk to.

Virginia Gardner (Goat, Little Bitches) is Karolina Dean. Model-perfect exterior, with a lot going on behind her professionally whitened smile, she is burdened by the lofty expectations and responsibilities put upon her by her parents. Underneath her veneer of privilege and perfection, Karolina is experiencing a newfound eagerness to explore her identity and pursue her own desires.

Ariela Barer (New Girl, One Day at a Time) is Gert Yorkes is a purple-haired, bespectacled, contemporary riot grrrl. Never passing up a moment to stand on a soapbox, Gert sometimes wields her persona as a brash social justice warrior to mask her true feelings.

Gregg Sulkin (Faking It, Anti Social) plays Chase Stein, a lacrosse-playing, high school heartthrob. While many write him off as a dumb jock, Chase exhibits flashes of untapped brilliance in engineering, not unlike his wildly successful father.

Allegra Acosta (100 Things to Do Before High School, Just Add Magic) is Molly Hernandez, the youngest and most innocent member of her friend group, who is known for her peppy positivity and a deep yearning to belong.

Additional casting news for Runaways is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks and months. Currently, there’s no word of a premiere date, but we’ll be bringing you all the latest on Marvel and Hulu’s collaboration as more information comes to light.
