The Avengers Teaser Trailer

And here we go again with the bootleg trailers. We saw one for The Dark Knight Rises last week (although the official one is coming tomorrow) and today we have one for The Avengers. Obviously, it's pretty poor quality but it still is visible and you can make out a number of the characters including Nick Fury, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Iron Man and a few more.

UPDATE: Paramount has asked that we remove the trailer until an official version is made available. Keep checking back throughout the week as we will be sure to post the official version once it is released.

It looks quite epic and judging just from what we see here, the film looks pretty promising. I mean, the idea alone of having all these superheroes together in one film is incredibly exciting and a dream come true for any comic book fan. From this brief glimpse that we get with the teaser trailer, it looks like we’re in for a real treat.

I still have minor doubts though as to if they’ll be able to pull it all off as I imagine it would be hard to put together a film like this where you have a ton of big stars all fighting for screen time.

I’m also worried about the fact that with so many characters being featured here, there could be some issues with storylines and writing. Each of these characters have extensive background stories and to keep everything straight and non-contradictory may be tough. That being said, after watching the teaser below, I’m definitely excited.

Marvel obviously realizes that they have a lot on the line here and I’m sure they’ve gone to great lengths to make sure that the story both flows seamlessly and makes perfect sense in all regards.

Superhero films, when done right, are a ton of fun. Films like Iron Man, The Dark Knight, X-Men: First Class, they make for some of the best summer blockbusters around. Marvel is clearly no stranger to the genre and I don’t think they’ll disappoint with The Avengers.

Again, the trailer is pretty crummy quality and it’s hard to make it a lot of what’s going on but this Friday when Captain America: The First Avenger releases, we’ll get a look at the official version. Reports say that the trailer will play infront of Captain America, which obviously makes perfect sense.

Although, I’ve also been hearing that it may play after the credits. Either way, if you’re seeing Marvel’s new film in theatres this weekend, you’ll likely catch a glimpse of The Avengers.

Check out the bootleg trailer below. We’ll be sure to post the official version once it’s available.

Directed by Joss Whedon, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, and Stellan Skarsgård. The Avengers hits theaters on May 4, 2012.
