Armie Hammer Is Under Fire In Gripping First Trailer For Mine

Armie Hammer finds himself under fire in the nail-biting first trailer for Mine, Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro's upcoming wartime thriller.

Spare a thought for Armie Hammer. The towering actor is just coming off Ben Wheatley’s star-studded Free Fire, a pulse-pounding action-comedy in which he plays Ord, a shady arms dealer that is thrust into the middle of a full-blown firefight once things go south. But for Hammer, it’s out of the frying pan and into the freezer – or should that be desert? – for Mine, Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro’s wartime thriller that centers on a U.S. soldier left stranded under the scorching desert sun.

Without any sign of rescue for the next 52 hours, up above you’ll see how Mine transforms into a gritty survival movie, as Armie Hammer’s haggard lead struggles to cope in one of the most inhospitable environments on the planet. To make matters worse, enemy forces begin to swarm in on his location, and it doesn’t take long before Hammer’s soldier begins to lose his grip on reality. Cue the inevitable hallucinations of his partner (Annabelle Wallis) and a nail-biting encounter with some of the desert’s wildlife. They’re hungry, and a weary, dehydrated soldier is about the closest thing they’ll get to fresh meat.

Here’s the synopsis:

This action-packed military thriller stars Armie Hammer (Free Fire, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) as a U.S. soldier who, stranded in the desert for 52 hours after a mission falls apart, must fight for survival against his enemies, the hostile environment, and the creeping psychological toll of his treacherous situation. Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle, The Mummy) and Tom Cullen (Weekend) co-star in this tense, explosive film from the producer of Buried and The Conjuring.

Evoking comparisons to Doug Liman’s Iraqi thriller The Wall, Mine is expected to deploy into select theaters and On Demand services on April 7th. Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders, The Mummy), Tom Cullen, Juliet Aubrey, and Geoff Bell co-star.
