James Cromwell, Ted Levine and BD Wong have all climbed aboard Jurassic World 2 just in time, as according to a new report, filming on Juan Antonio Bayona’s creature feature is due to commence on February 27th.

That tidbit was buried in a filing from My Entertainment World (via Screen Rant), noting that Bayona’s upcoming sequel will lens in Hawaii, London and Brecon Beacons, Wales throughout the course of 2017. All three countries have surfaced as potential locations in the past, which lends credence to MEW’s unofficial synopsis. Included below, the alleged logline points to a scenario in which the government and InGen are in cahoots, leading to the creation of weaponized dinosaurs that have been engineered solely for “battle purposes.”

Couple this with the return of BD Wong’s nefarious geneticist Dr. Henry Wu, who was last seen fleeing Isla Nublar with a stash of dino embryos, and My Entertainment World’s purported story clues certainly aren’t out of the question. All of this is yet to be confirmed by Universal, though, so take the following snippet with a pinch of salt for the time being.

“The adventures at the Jurassic World resort and theme park continue as the government has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.”

Featuring a story penned by Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow – the latter of whom vacated the director’s chair to pursue Star Wars: Episode IX – previous Jurassic World 2 story clues point to an arc involving themes of animal rights and a whole new wave of genetically modified dinosaurs, as InGen’s precious formula goes open source.

On June 22nd, 2018, Jurassic World 2 will seemingly steer Universal’s monstrous franchise into uncharted waters. All signs point to filming kicking off next week but for now, tell us, what’s your knee-jerk reaction to these latest story rumors?
