Titles like these sometimes either tie into the plot or simply reference something the director’s a fan of. So far, we’ve really got no idea as to what this one is hinting at and unless anything else comes to light, we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not “Cherry Blue” ends up having any sort of relevance to the events of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Our best guess though is that it’s just a random name.

Very little is known about the sequel at the moment beyond the fact that it will likely revolve around the hunt for Janet Van Dyne (the original Wasp) in the Quantum Realm, and that Michael Douglas will be reprising his role as Hank Pym alongside Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. Whether or not either of the titular characters will factor into Avengers: Infinity War is another mystery, but you have to believe it’s a possibility. Especially since it seems like just about everyone in the MCU will be showing up in the Russo’s film.

With a release date set for next July, Ant-Man and The Wasp should start casting soon and with that will come new plot details and perhaps even an explanation in regards to what “Cherry Blue” is referencing – if it means anything at all. We’ll be sure to let you know once more is revealed, but in the meantime, tell us, do you have any theories about the sequel’s working title?
