Even though she isn’t technically a Guardian, Karen Gillan will be joining the likes of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista to reprise her role as Gamora’s twisted sister, Nebula, in the next Avengers movie. It should be interesting to see how the cynical cyborg interacts with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and Gillan herself has an idea about who she would like to team up with.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the actress was asked which of the Avengers she would most like to interact with. Here’s her reply:

“I don’t know who I’m going to be sharing the screen with but, if I could choose anyone, I’d go with Iron Man. Yeah. I feel they would have an interesting relationship. He’s pretty cool.”

Sounds like a good pick to us. Gillan was also quizzed about if she’d like to see one of Nebula’s most important comic book moments brought to the screen in either Infinity War or its sequel. On the page, Nebula pinches the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos and briefly controls the power of the Infinity Gems (known as Infinity Stones in the movies). Obviously, she would love to bring the moment to life, as the actress noted the following:

“I, of course, hope so. That would be amazing. When I was preparing to play Nebula the first time, I read the Infinity Gauntlet and I loved it because it was the most Nebula heavy comic. And, yeah, that would be amazing if it does follow that storyline. I’m hoping. I don’t know yet because it’s a very big secret. But I’m hoping.”

Avengers: Infinity War is due to arrive in UK cinemas on April 27th, 2018 and in the US on May 4th. Its as-yet-untitled sequel will then materialize a year later, on April 26th, 2019 (in the UK) and May 3rd (the US).
