Another International Trailer For Wonder Woman Zooms In As Zack Snyder Fuels Sequel Chatter

Yet another international trailer for Wonder Woman has found its way online as Zack Snyder continues to fuel chatter of a sequel.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Patty Jenkins, Zack Snyder, Chris Pine and Gal Gadot – arguably the four creative pillars of Warner Bros. and DC’s imminent Wonder Woman – were all in attendance at the film’s Shanghai premiere yesterday evening, and they took the opportunity to debut the fourth (and surely final?) international trailer for the long-anticipated solo movie.

Not only that, but while speaking to those fans lining the red carpet, Zack Snyder allegedly confirmed that a Wonder Woman sequel is indeed in the mix, though the Justice League director stopped short of disclosing any further details. Until we hear anything official from the Powers That Be, take this one with a pinch of salt, as Warner Bros. is surely hedging its bets until those box office numbers begin rolling in in a few weeks’ time. Last we reported, the Patty Jenkins-directed spinoff was tracking for a domestic bow in the region of $65 million, which would bring Diana Prince’s origin story in line with Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.

However, in terms of the nebulous Wonder Woman 2, it’ll be quite some time before DC’s Immortal Warrior headlines another standalone pic, given how busy Warner’s film slate has become. That means the Joss Whedon-directed Batgirl movie will be the next female-driven superhero movie to tumble off the production line, if Deborah Snyder is to be believed.

We’ve included that purported tidbit below alongside a second promo for Wonder Woman, which graced the interwebs just yesterday to commemorate Mother’s Day in North America.

Wonder Woman lights up theaters on June 2nd, and the Gal Gadot-fronted standalone pic can’t come soon enough. Justice League, meanwhile, will be with us on November 17th.
