Black Panther Confirmed For Avengers: Infinity War

Until now, an appearance by Black Panther in Avengers: Infinity War was simply an unconfirmed rumour. Evidence has been mounting in support of strong links between those two Marvel movies, though, with eagle-eyed fans spotting the Black Panther characters of Shuri, and Man-Ape in the Avengers: Infinity War cast list. Kevin Feige has also been very vocal in his insistence that the events of Black Panther will have a direct impact upon the action of Joe and Anthony Russo's blockbuster.

But now, we have what constitutes official confirmation, as Chadwick Boseman has shared a brief video from the set of Avengers: Infinity War, showing chairs bearing the names of Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers and T’Challa.

Since the chairs are sitting on a sandy riverbank, surrounded by lush greenery, could it be that these scenes take place in Wakanda? If so, that would support the notion that the T’Challa’s kingdom is the location of the final Infinity Stone and the idea of Black Panther sharing scenes here with Black Widow and Captain America is very exciting. They crossed paths in Captain America: Civil War, of course, but were not exactly enamoured of each other – but a threat posed by Thanos seems reason enough to bring them together.

With Black Panther having, by then, been established as a powerful character in his own right, thanks to his own solo movie, this particular superhero combination is sure to be one of the more highly anticipated aspects of Avengers: Infinity War when it storms into theatres on May 4th, 2018.
