Tom Holland’s Web-Head unwraps a very special delivery from Mr. Stark in the latest promo for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel and Jon Watts’ franchise refresh that’s simply bursting at the seams with personality.

Much of that infectious energy can be traced back to Tom Holland, the so-hot-right-now British actor who’s been gobbling up starring roles left, right, and center (see: The Current War and Sony’s long-awaited Uncharted movie), and that’s before you even factor in the actor’s commitment to both Avengers: Infinity War and the as-yet-untitled Homecoming sequel.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. Following in the footsteps of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – for the record, James Gunn’s spacefaring sequel stands as a difficult act to follow, now that it’s soared past $820 million worldwide – Spider-Man: Homecoming will look to keep the Marvel momentum trucking along, and at least based on the recent deluge of promos, it’ll do so with a sense of swagger. Case in point: up above you’ll see Peter Parker gush over his newfound duds, courtesy of Robert Downey Jr.’s fellow Avenger, before tackling crime on (and indeed above) the streets of New York City.

As we learned just yesterday, Spidey’s bleeding-edge suit is fitted with the finest bells and whistles in the land. The eye-slits, for example, are so responsive that they help Peter grapple with his enhanced senses – focus, zoom…you name it – while those web-wings certainly come in handy when Spider-Man is in need of a quick getaway.

Spider-Man: Homecoming shoots for theaters on July 7th and yes, it’ll feature yet another cameo from the great Stan Lee. Word is that Jon Watts’ reboot is faring remarkably well in Marvel’s test screenings, so we’re intrigued to see if the studio can maintain that positive buzz right up until the film’s release.
