A War Of Epic Proportions Unfolds In Spectacular New Trailer For Star Wars Battlefront II

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come. Following weeks of fervent speculation as to what shape Star Wars Battlefront II‘s core gameplay would take – and what much-needed improvements have been made over the original – we at long last have our first proper look at the title, which is said to have 3x the content of its predecessor.

Revealed today at EA Play (the publisher’s alternative to E3) in L.A., the above trailer follows yesterday’s tantalizing teaser of a battalion of Federation Droids being deployed for battle. Unsurprisingly, not even that gorgeous snippet of in-game footage could prepare us for what played out on-screen at today’s event. Showing off characters like Kylo Ren, Rey and Chewbacca, among others, and what look to be some incredibly epic battles (on land and in space), it’s an electrifying and dazzling tease for what will no doubt be one of the year’s biggest releases.

At EA Play, you’ll be able to watch the first-ever live gameplay reveal of Star Wars Battlefront II, featuring livestream of 40-player gameplay set during the Assault on Theed – one of the new multiplayer battles from the prequel trilogy. Clone Troopers will mount a desperate defense against the invading forces of the Separatist Battle Droids. Can the Republic forces stop the relentless crawl of the massive Multi-Troop Transport as it lumbers toward the palace doors?

Star Wars Battlefront II is out November 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and after watching the stunning gameplay trailer up above, we can’t wait to learn more about it in the coming weeks.
