As expected, Microsoft kicked off its E3 presser by unveiling the upgraded Xbox One, wasting no time in revealing what’s housed within its sleek, jet black casing. Not content with making the One X the most powerful console ever built, the software giant’s answer to the PS4 Pro is also the smallest member of the Xbox family, coming in at an even smaller size than last year’s One S.

To show off exactly what Microsoft’s latest bit of kit can do, a short demo of Forza Motorsport 7 was beamed on-screen, revealing some gorgeous 4K visuals. Running at a solid 60fps throughout, the latest addition to Turn 10’s revered racing series boasts eye-waveringly beautiful weather effects and so-called “living environments.”

A slew of other games, including Metro Exodus, a follow-up to 2013’s Metro: Last Light, and a debut trailer for Ubisoft’s long-awaited Assassin’s Creed: Origins were also shown off in full splendor. Wrapping up the show, Xbox boss Phil Spencer welcomed EA to the stage in order to showcase Anthem, BioWare’s next game and a visual tour de force on the One X.

If you like what you see (and let’s be honest, how could you not?), Xbox One X will be available to buy worldwide this November for $499 or your regional equivalent.
