Leaf Men, previously titled The Legend of the Leaf Men, will be based on the children's book "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs" by William Joyce. 20th Century Fox has announced the release date for the 3D animated film, Leaf Men, to be on May 17, 2013.

With still a while before Leaf Men crawls into theaters, the only scoop we have so far, besides a release date, is that it will be directed by Chris Wedge (Ice Age).

While I’ve never read the book, I am excited for this film. My excitement is due to Chris Wedge being at the helm. I loved both Ice Age and Robots and I look forward to see what Wedge will do with Leaf Men come 2013.

We will of course let you in on all the details as they surface.
