Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Stand Tall On This Fan-Made Poster For Avengers: Infinity War

Earth's Mightiest Heroes are joined by some familiar faces on this epic fan-made poster for Avengers: Infinity War. It's expected to open May 4th, 2018.

When Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was asked to outline the humongous cast list of Avengers: Infinity War, the studio’s head honcho estimated that there are around 60 (!) characters set to feature in Joe and Anthony Russo’s titanic event film.

Even by Marvel’s lofty standards, that’s a staggering statistic, and the Russo Brothers will no doubt be bringing all of their filmmaking experience to bear – particularly the experience gained on Civil War last year – when crafting the third Avengers movie.

Still in active production ahead of its launch in May of 2018, Avengers: Infinity War is being kept under lock and key, though Marvel has admittedly struggled to keep set photos and videos – two staples of Hollywood’s superhero genre – from finding their way online. Generally speaking, those images have been free from any major story spoilers – so far, at least – and while we wait patiently for the advent of Infinity War‘s debut teaser, the folks over at DeviantArt (via CBM) have rendered a rather awesome fan poster that imagines Earth’s Mightiest Hero and the Guardians of the Galaxy fighting out of the same corner.

Their target? Thanos, in all likelihood, although given Joe and Anthony Russo’s sprawling epic is set to span over two movies (the untitled Avengers 4 is penciled in for May 2019), we wouldn’t be all that surprised if Josh Brolin’s villain was used sparingly throughout the course of Avengers: Infinity War, only to declare war against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at the tail-end of the movie. Chalk that up as conjecture for now, and until Marvel divulges some tangible story clues, expect speculation to rage online over the coming weeks and months.

Avengers: Infinity War has been earmarked for release on May 4th, 2018. Next up for the MCU is the launch of Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7th of this year, and we now know that Spidey’s Infinity War screen time will be comparable to that of Civil War.
